The Biodiversity Information System for Europe (BISE) is a single entry point for data and information on biodiversity in the EU. BISE brings together information on biodiversity and links it to relevant policies, environmental data centres, assessments and research findings from various sources.
BISE is a partnership between the European Comission (DG Environment Joint Research Centre, Eurostat) and the European Environment Agency (EEA). It incorporates the network of the European Clearing House Mechanism.
BISE was officially launched on the 1st June at the European Commission's Green Week.
